Background
I developed a side-interest in personal finance in my early 20's after a couple of clueless years of financial struggle and damaged credit. After reading a couple of financial books and magazines, I realized that - while some of the advice was new to me - most of it was simple common sense. Yet, seeing various concepts and techniques in print was somehow motivating.

I am in no way affiliated with any credit counseling service or financial institution. I've put this site together as a hobby, and I'm simply passing along personal finance information I've learned and practices that have worked for me over the years.
